Fiber Arts Fall Project: Sanitary Product Kits
Join the Fiber Arts groups in making and putting together 100 sanitary kits for underserved women and girls.
For many girls around the world, a period means missing out on a week of school or a week’s earning every month because they don’t have the proper sanitary supplies.
The Fiber Arts group will be gathering on October 14th at 10am at Pillar to prep supplies. On Saturday, November 9 from 9am-2pm at Pillar Church, everyone is invited to join the group as they cut, sew, and rivet, until the goal of 100 sanitary kits is met. Saturday the 9th will be in an open house style, come for as long or little as you need. Men and teens are encouraged to join, and no experience needed. Just come ready to work.
If you would like to donate supplies or financially to this project, any contributions will be appreciated.
The list of supplies needed is as follows:
Flannel Fabric (laundered)
Women’s Panties (XS, S, M, L)
Others (Contact Cornelia Benson or Joy Dulmes for specifics)
