We are a multi-generational community of women, uniting through activities to uplift our community and create bonds in our fellowship. We exist to strengthen and support one another through the grace and love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Join with us for sometimes lively, sometimes tender fellowship and fun! As a supportive church family, let's grow together in our love for the Lord, our families, our city, and for each other. Find our most recent newsletter here.
Women from both Pillar Church and Maple Avenue Ministries are joining together for a Lenten Bible Study. We will be reading the devotion "A Way Other Than Our Own" by Walter Walter Brueggemann (available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble). Reading begins on March 6, with our first meeting on March 13. Devotion will run for 6-7 weeks. Each gathering will include dinner and discussion of thoughts and ideas about the week's devotions. Book Club: Our Book Club shares thoughts and analysis of contemporary fiction and non-fiction chosen by the group members. We meet every six weeks in members’ homes, choosing the books a few months in advance for those who to read ahead. Contact info: Susan Smith; email@example.com.
Walk and Talk: During non-winter months, we socialize and exercise at the same time simply walking around the Pillar neighborhood with friends. We meet once a week at 9:00 a.m. then walk for 45 min. to an hour on whatever route we choose. Friends, children, dogs – all are welcome! Depending on the weather, we will begin again in April.
