Prayers for the Future

Curiosity: Make us curious, Lord. What if we tried something new? What if this involves being uncomfortable?

Risk: Take away our fear, Lord. May we know Your presence is always with us. May we not be fearful to embrace change.

Openness: Open our hearts, Lord, to whom you want us to serve in our city. Open our eyes to see the need in our community. Open our minds to understand You more.

Dependency: Help us, Lord, to trust You more fully. Who can we turn to but you?

Sacramental: Cleanse us, Lord. Set us apart for Your will. We desire for all the work we do for you to be holy and pleasing in your sight.

Locality: What are you calling us to do in our city, Lord? Who are you calling us to welcome at Pillar? Where are you sending us to serve in Holland? Show us, Lord.

Creativity: Help us think outside of the box, Lord. Help us reach all people of all ages in ways we can’t even imagine.

Reconciliation: As we have been reconciled to Christ, help us be reconciled with one another. Remove the differences that separate us. Unite us as Your body.

We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus,
