Student Ministries

Upon registration, your child will be assigned to a room based on their age or grade level. The room name and number will be listed on your child’s name tag. Our Check-In desk greeters would be happy to assist you in finding the right room for your child. Current age groupings include:

• Infant Nursery- Room 101
• Toddler Nursery- Room 102
• 2-3 Year Olds- Room 103
• 3.5-5 Year Olds- Room 104
• K-2nd Grade- Room 107
• 3rd-5th Grade- Room 108

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the service time for ALL children, infant through 5th grade. Each child will receive a name-tag with a 3 digit security code. Parents/guardians will receive a security sticker with a matching 3-digit code that will be used to pick up your child.

To check-out your child, present your matching security sticker to the volunteer in your child’s room. All children, including elementary children, must be released to a parent/guardian with the matching number tag. If you have lost the matching security sticker, please go to the Check-In Desk to get a “Lost Security Sticker” form.

A parent or guardian may choose to stay with his or her child during the service to observe the environment or comfort the child. Parents/guardians are welcome to visit, but must be checked in as a visitor to receive a name-tag and will not to be treated as an additional volunteer. Since they may not have a background check on file, they are not allowed to be alone with any child except their own, lead children in activities or small groups, or care for any child except their own.

Upon registering your child, you will be asked to provide a cell-phone number that can be contacted during the church service. We ask that you have this phone on you and available when your child is attending Pillar Kids. In the event of an emergency or if you are needed for any reason, a Pillar Kids staff person will notify you first via text and then via phone call at the provided phone number. If you are notified, please report immediately to the Pillar Kids check-in desk.

NO SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED AT THIS TIME.

Normally, Cheerios (gluten free, dairy free) will be provided to children in the Infant Nursery, Toddler Nursery, 2-3 Year Old Room, and the 3.5-5 Year Old Room. All allergies will be noted before a snack is provided.

For infants, you may provide a prepared bottle for your child to have while in nursery.

For toddlers and preschool children, you are welcome to send water in an enclosed container. (Sippy cup or water bottle.)

Please make sure that items are clearly labeled. No snacks at this time, please.

Yes. In both the Infant Nursery (Room 101) and the Toddler Nursery (Room 102) are Nursing Mother’s rooms equipped with a privacy curtain, rocking chair and noise machine. Please come and go as you need. You are also welcome to use the changing tables in each nursery.

Pillar Kids is a place for ALL children, no matter their abilities. Upon registering your child, please indicate if your child has any special needs.. You will be invited to fill out a questionnaire that will guide a conversation to help our Pillar Kids Team ensure that the right supports are in place for your child.

On Celebration Sundays, there is no Faith Formation Class for 3.5-5 year olds or K-5th grade. Should your preschooler need a break, they are welcome to join our 2-3 year old class. Children’s worship folders will be available on Celebration Sundays to support your child in worship.
