What to Expect

Pillar at 9th celebrates the beauty of a classical church sanctuary with traditional elements of worship. Our creative liturgy is central to our identity, calling everyone to connect with our core mission. Nourished by God through Word and Sacrament, we are dedicated to serving our city.

Creative Liturgical

There is a phrase we like to use at Pillar called Creative Liturgical - it's a way of describing our communal worship life.

Maybe there have been moments when you have wondered why Pillar does what we do in worship-with hymns and songs, and spiritual songs and old prayers, and new art - it's all Creative Liturgical. And as we continue to add worshiping sites to our community, our Creative Liturgical life is a common thread. We put together this video in hopes to describe what we are after.

Faith Formation
Classes

9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services for infants through 5th grade. These are the same at both services, as it is our hope that children can worship at one service with their family and attend Faith Formation at the other service. See the Policies and Ministry information

Celebration
Sundays

In Psalm 150, God calls us ALL to worship. So let’s celebrate a time when all God’s children, young and old, gather together to worship. On Celebration Sundays, children ages 4 and up are invited to worship in the sanctuary for the entire service. See the calendar for specific dates

Sacred
Dance

Children in K-5th grade to engage in worship and prayer creatively. Adding movement to songs or prayer creates deeper understanding for children and a visual representation for the congregation. Email pillarkids@pillarchurch.com if your child is interested.
