What happens when the Author steps onto the stage?
In Act Four of N.T. Wright’s sweeping 5-Act Drama, the long-anticipated climax arrives: Jesus the Messiah enters history not just as teacher or prophet, but as the fulfillment of Israel’s story and the embodiment of God’s redemptive purpose. Through His life, death, and resurrection, the script takes a decisive turn—ushering in the kingdom of God and rewriting what it means to be truly human.
But the drama doesn’t end at the cross or even the empty tomb. The Church is born – Spirit-empowered, called to carry the story forward, living out the implications of Jesus’ victory in every time and place.
Join us on Wednesday, July 23 as we explore how Christ in the Church changes everything—and how we’re invited to step into the story. Dr. Kristen Deede Johnson, Principal at Wycliffe College in Toronto, Canada, will guide us through this act. We will begin with dinner on the Pillar lawn at 5:30pm followed by our talk in the sanctuary at 6:30. Families are encouraged to enjoy dinner together on the lawn – check in for the Pillar Kids Creation Class (nursery, preschool, and K-5) begins at 6:15 at the Lower Level Welcome Desk.
