WEEK THREE: July 9, Fall

Speaker: Wayne Brower, Professor of Religion Instruction

Testimony: Kate Dulmes

What went wrong with the world—and where do we fit in?

Join us for the third installment in our series exploring the grand narrative of Scripture through N.T. Wright’s 5-Act Drama. This session dives into Act Two: The Fall—the tragic moment when humanity, designed to reflect God’s image, chooses autonomy over trust, unraveling the harmony of creation.

Far from being a standalone event, the Fall is a turning point that reshapes the story’s trajectory. It explains the deep fractures we see in ourselves and the world—and sets the stage for God’s unfolding plan of redemption.

On Wednesday, July 9, we will be welcoming Dr. Wayne Brower, Professor of Religion Instruction, at Hope College as we explore how a story that begins in beauty can survive a devastating turn – and why that matters for us today. We will begin with dinner on the Pillar lawn at 5:30pm followed by our talk in the sanctuary at 6:30. Families are encouraged to enjoy dinner together on the lawn – check in for the Pillar Kids Creation Class (nursery, preschool, and K-5) begins at 6:15 at the Lower Level Welcome Desk.
