WEEK TWO: June 25, Creation
Speaker: Steve Bauoma-Prediger, Professor of Reformed Theology at Hope College
Testimony: Paul Krumpe
What if the story of the world isn’t just random chaos, but a carefully crafted drama with meaning, purpose, and direction?
Join us for a thought-provoking talk that explores the creation narrative through the lens of N.T. Wright’s 5-Act Drama. Discover how Genesis sets the stage for everything that follows – introducing God as the master storyteller, humanity as image-bearing co-creators, and creation itself as a stage filled with beauty, order, and divine intention.
Whether you’re new to the biblical story or looking to deepen your theological understanding, this Christ in the City talk will help you see creation not just as a beginning, but as the foundation of a story still unfolding.
On Wednesday, June 25, we are excited to welcome Steven Bouma-Prediger, Professor of Reformed Theology at Hope College as we strive to “restory” our understanding of Creation through this lens. We will begin with dinner on the Pillar lawn at 5:30pm followed by our talk in the sanctuary at 6:30. Families are encouraged to enjoy dinner together on the lawn – check in for the Pillar Kids Creation Class (nursery, preschool, and K-5) begins at 6:15 at the Lower Level Welcome Desk.
