Are you looking for an opportunity to serve our community over the summer? Our partners at Community Action House have asked for help from individuals, families or groups that would be willing to collect produce at the Holland Farmers Market on Saturdays. Volunteers would collect what the farmers and vendors would like to donate as they close up their stalls for the day (farmers often refer to this process as gleaning). These efforts help feed families right in our community at the Food Club, the Community Kitchen and other area non profits. You can sign up for one or multiple shifts. You will meet at the Food Club at 739 Paw Paw Dr, Holland and ride together to the Farmers Market, collect donations, and then return to the Food Club to unload the produce.
